AOM Mat Fundraiser 2025
Join the effort to replace our dojo’s worn mats and canvas cover!
For over 30 years, the mats at Aikido of Missoula have carried the energy of our practice—absorbing thousands of falls, rolls, and moments of transformation. But after decades of faithful service, they’re worn out. The spring is gone, and our canvas cover—patched and repatched—tears more every week.
It’s time for a full mat replacement and a new canvas cover. And we need your help.
Our Goal
We’re raising $17,500 by December 15 to purchase:
- 70 new mats at $200 each
- 1 canvas cover from our longtime partner Fabricon at a discounted rate of $3,500
- Every dollar raised (minus credit card fees) goes directly into the Mat Fund.
Our Shared Path
You may be a current member of our community or a friend who last stepped on the mat years ago, but chances are the dojo has left an unforgettable impression. From taking your first roll, to giving your all in a challenging randori, settling into a quiet moment of meditation, or watching with enthusiastic awe while Saotome Sensei shared the profound beauty of Aikido, this training space has long sustained growth, connection, friendship, and something of what it means to be fully alive!
As we work to renew the mat, we invite you to reflect on the inspiration and experiences forged here and the significance Aikido has held for you, and to consider supporting what this space continues to offer.

- $50 = covers 20 square feet of new canvas (we need 70 sections)
